Courtney Parker West (she/her) is a community organizer, writer, and consultant. Courtney is a first-generation college graduate of the University of Iowa. After five years teaching middle school language arts in rural eastern NC, she was a teacher coach and then Director, Alumni Impact. Currently she serves as National Managing Director, Leadership Development Strategy for Teach For America. She sits on the executive committee for Safe Schools NC, an LGTBQ+ advocacy board, and is co-founder of Radical Roots, a diversity, equity, & inclusiveness (DEI) consultancy. She lives in Zebulon, NC, with her spouse and their teenage niece. She enjoys hosting dinners and wine tastings.
